About me

Tom Bailey works in the history of political philosophy with a research focus on Immanuel Kant. His PhD research proposes a novel reading of Kant’s late political philosophy in The Doctrine of Right in which the concept political judgment is read has its philosophical core. As well as continuing scholarly work on Kant, his current research is focused on how the literature on political judgment, the phenomena itself, can be rethought in light of Kant’s long overlooked account. He also teaches the history of political theory at LSE and is a Head Class Teacher for the University of London's Online Undergraduate Programmes in Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences.
