Green Impact

Creating a sustainable LSE and engaging with climate issues

Green Impact is an NUS programme designed to help organisations implement environmentally and socially sustainable practice. We're proud to be part of Green Impact at LSE and have achieved Platinum Award in 2023 and 2024.

Our Green Impact team members are passionate about sustainability and concerned about the environment. We're committed to ensuring sustainability is factored into every area of department life. This means working on practical measures to make the department more sustainable and running initiatives to promote sustainable thinking and actions.

We also encourage people across the department to engage in the discussion on climate change and bring their knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm to bear on this most urgent of problems.

Our 2025 Green Impact Project

The 'It All Adds Up' logo'IT ALL ADDS UP', is about all the small things you can do in your everyday life to help create a more sustainable world.

We've got lots of initiatives, events and content planned for the coming year, but here are some suggestions to get you started:

  • Turn off computers and lights
  • Get a reusable water bottle
  • Avoid single use plastic
  • Reduce your food waste
  • Take the stairs
  • Try cycling to campus

Remember, IT ALL ADDS UP! Look out for more information and updates coming soon.
