Greetings! My name is Mattia, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Economics and Finance in Milan. I want to share my summer learning experience with you. Join me as I take you through my daily routine as a student at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science. At LSE, every day was a chance to expand my knowledge, discover new ideas and develop in a highly engaging environment. I studied during the third session of Summer School, taking the AC110: Principles of Accounting course, which was truly enriching.

My typical day kicked off with the ringing of my alarm, signalling the start of a new day. Once I was up, I prepared for the day ahead, heading to the canteen in my accommodation in Carr-Saunders for an international breakfast. The key to a productive day is starting with a nutritious meal that fuels the body and prepares you for everyday life's tough schedule. Once I was all set, I strolled for 20-minute from my dorm to the Marshall Building on campus, where I attended my daily lessons. I enjoyed listening to my playlist while walking and taking in the lovely view of London coming to life in the early morning. I'm quite fond of the London vibes!

Before class, I hung out with some new friends outside the building, and we had a blast sharing some fantastic moments. The morning lectures were fascinating and kept me engaged. The professors were very knowledgeable, and their presentations were well-prepared. During the afternoon classes, my professor, who is from a well-known business consulting company, made the lessons enjoyable and easy to understand.

Right before our afternoon classes, I had lunch with my friends. Our go-to spot every week was Wasabi, which was a short walk away from campus. When working on assignments, doing research, or studying for exams, the library was a serene and productive environment that helped me concentrate on my tasks. The library's architecture is impressive, with its stairs and central lift making you feel like you're in a movie. The LSE campus is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The iconic Old Building stands tall alongside state-of-the-art facilities such as the Centre Building, one of the newest on campus.

At LSE, students are encouraged to explore their interests beyond the classroom. The Summer School Spark programme provides various opportunities for attending external lectures on current issues and participating in skill-enhancing activities.

In the evenings, my friends and I enjoyed immersing ourselves in British culture by visiting local pubs and indulging in various restaurants. London, a metropolis of diverse cuisines, offers many options for those seeking new and exciting flavours. I recommend exploring these places, as they will surely satisfy your taste buds and enrich your senses. As the day drew to a close, I would head back to my accommodation for a leisurely rest, before unwinding with some reading or catching up on the latest news. It was a time to reflect on the day's experiences and recharge for tomorrow's adventures.

Living in London was a dream come true. I made the most of my weekends and evenings by exploring the city's rich history, cultural landmarks, and diverse neighbourhoods. From the British Museum, Westminster Abbey, and Notting Hill to Camden Market. London offers endless opportunities for exploration. To see beyond London, you may consider a day trip to the White Cliffs of Dover in Kent, or the cities of Oxford and Cambridge.

Adjusting to life at LSE and in London was challenging, especially during the first week when you do not know anyone yet. To future LSE students, I say: embrace the challenges—they're part of the growth process. The more you get involved, the more fun you will have and the happier you will be!

I highly recommend attending the Boat Party as it was one of the best events I have ever experienced. The party was delightful, allowing me to meet many people and engage in lively dancing and singing while basking in the breath-taking views of the London sunset over the Thames river. From my experience, this activity is highly regarded among students and an absolute must-do.

LSE is not just a university but a launchpad for dreams and ambitions. In summary, my daily routine at LSE is a unique and transformative experience I will always hold dear. If you're considering LSE for your education, I hope this glimpse into my life here has given you an idea of the incredible journey that awaits you.
