LSE Staff Book Manuscript Workshop Fund

SEAC’s Staff Book Workshop Fund provides support to LSE academic staff who have produced book manuscripts on which they seek feedback and guidance prior to submission for publication (or resubmission for publication following reviews and revisions). This funding scheme enables LSE academic staff with book manuscripts in the works to invite a small group of experts from within the UK or abroad to the LSE for an intensive workshop focused on their book manuscripts. The funding scheme is intended to support LSE academic staff working on Southeast Asia and to promote high-quality research on the region.

Applications will be evaluated in terms of the potential intellectual value of the workshops proposed and, in terms of the academic specialists invited to participate, the potential benefits and costs, both for the author of the book manuscripts and for the Centre. The Centre strongly encourages applicants to include plans for public-facing SEAC events linked to the book workshop involving workshop participants, especially those whose travel and accommodation expenses are especially costly.

Interested LSE Staff members should submit a completed SEAC LSE Staff Book Workshop Application Form to SEAC Centre Manager (seac.admin@lse.ac.uk). Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
