Course critical to assessment: Students must obtain a mark in the Merit range or above in course IR499 in order to obtain a Distinction overall in the degree. |

Distinction/Merit borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.2): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined to the advantage of the student. |

Merit/Pass borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.4): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined to the advantage of the student. |
