Kyra is Research Assistant at the LSE Middle East Centre and previously worked at the LSE Centre for Women, Peace and Security. She combines her research with her position at Independent Diplomat, a non-profit advisory group. 

Kyra’s current research examines environmental peacebuilding in Iraq, as part of the LSE Conflict Research Programme. Her wider research interests are conflict dynamics, forced displacement, accountability & transitional justice in Iraq and Syria. Kyra holds a MA in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies from King's College London and MSc in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University.
