The LSE Middle East Centre is offering an exciting paid internship opportunity for two LSE undergraduate students to work on translation and research in Arabic for Centre projects.
The post-holders will be based in London at the LSE Middle East Centre and will report to Nesrin Alrefaai, Visiting Fellow and Arabic Content Editor. Some remote working will be possible if needed.
Hours: Part time (averaging around 10 hours per week), for 5 weeks
Hourly Rate: £20.16 per hour
Start date: July 2023
Responsibilities:
- Translating material such as website content, blogs, executive summaries of research reports from English to Arabic
- Undertaking research in Arabic on materials related to methodology and academic writing as part of the Centre’s bi-lingual glossary of political terminology
- Proofreading papers in Arabic and English
Candidates should have:
- Good knowledge of Arabic, specifically reading and writing
- Strong writing, administration, and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
