This workshop brings together a mix of participants contributing scholarly and policy-focused perspectives on the problems of documentation, identification and recognition of migrants and refugees. It will present the outcomes of a collaborative research project between the LSE Middle East Centre, the Centre for Migration and Refugee Studies of the American University in Cairo, and the Association marocaine d’études et de recherche sur la migration of the University Mohammed V, Rabat; and open these up for discussion in comparative context.
