Biography

Lili holds a Master’s degree in Global Media Communication from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining the LSE, she taught media studies in Hangzhou, interned at UNESCO, Paris and worked in digital publishing in Hong Kong.  

Thesis title: The Floating Diaspora: Transnational Habitus of the Chinese Migrants  

Abstract 

Habitus is a social-physical structure subject to social construction and place-making. My research explores how digital media shapes the transnational habitus through comparative studies of the Chinese diaspora in different walks and classes.
