Giulia is an applied micro-economist with research interests in labour, health and urban economics. Her recent work unearths co-agglomeration patterns of manufacturing industries in the UK and their link to agglomeration economies; labour market effects of public sector worker relocations (both in the UK and Germany); differences in consumption patterns across UK cities. Regarding health issues, she is analysing the Impact of Workforce Turnover and Temporary Staff on Productivity and Health Outcomes in the Hospital Sector (together with Alistair McGuire, Victoria Serra-Sastre and Jannis Stockel).
She is a Reader in Economics, Department of Economics, at City, University of London and a Visiting Fellow at LSE Health.
