She holds an MSc in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the London School of Economics (LSE). She also holds an MD from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Casablanca.

Before joining the MTRG, Fatima worked as a Research Assistant at the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at the LSE and prior to that as a Medical Manager assigned to Eli Lilly's and Novartis's immunology portfolios.

Fatima has worked on a variety of projects, including the scaling up of HTA remits in Ukraine (USAID project), the implementation of risk-sharing agreements in Chile, and access to mental health services and treatment in young adults in England.
