About me

Di received his PhD in Health Policy and Administration at Penn State University in the United States. His research focuses on health inequality and socioeconomic determinants of health in low- and middle-income countries, such as India, China, and Nepal. His studies also evaluate how government policy and other interventions influence health inequality and individual well-being. Specifically, he published his job market paper on Chinese healthcare reform and urban-rural health inequality. His recent study uses machine learning methods to investigate the relative elasticity of health determinants at the county level and examine the cost-effectiveness of improving population health by investing in social determinants of health. Currently, He is working with Dr Zlatko Nikoloski on national and subnational assessments of universal health care in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
