Elisabeth Noble is a Senior Policy Advisor and Team Leader at the European Banking Authority. She leads the EBA’s policy work on crypto-assets, including MiCAR implementation, the platformisation of financial services, and structural change in the EU financial sector. She represents the EBA in EU and international standard-setter work streams relating to FinTech, financial system interconnectedness, and the regulatory perimeter. Prior to joining the EBA in 2014, Elisabeth spent 7 years at the UK’s finance ministry advising primarily on the response to the 2008/9 financial crisis, including resolution measures, and the post-crisis domestic and EU regulatory reforms, including the reforms to the regulatory architecture of the EU (Banking Union). Elisabeth has also spent some time in the private sector. At LSE Law School, Elisabeth co-teaches the co-curricular Master Class Series on FinTech and Digital Finance, and contributes to LL4BF (international financial regulation) and various short courses.
