About me

Mr. Albert K. Ting is a highly accomplished practitioner of sustainable urban development in Asia, more specifically in Vietnam and in Taiwan. 

Mr. Ting is one of the principal shareholders of Phu My Hung (PMH) Development Corporation whose large scale, multi-decade urban development project in Vietnam has been chosen as one of the leading sustainable urban development projects in the world by Harvard Business School. (See Harvard Business Review article July-August 2013).  

From Taiwan, Mr. Albert Ting has been a long term investor of Vietnam over the past 35 years and has been the chairman of a publicly listed company for the past 20+ years. 

Mr. Ting is a graduate of Harvard, MIT, and Federal Executive Institute of the United States Government. 

Mr. Albert Ting is the Chairman of CX Technology Taiwan, Phu Hung Securities, and Phu Hung Fund Management of Vietnam. 

Mr. Ting is also the Chairman of World Vision Taiwan, Chairman of Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Foundation, Chairman of Walter Fei Memorial Foundation, Board Member of MIT Sloan Asia Executive Board, Governor of Asia School of Business, Member of Eisenhower Fellowship President’s Advisory Council, Steering Committee Member of Harvard’s Digital Asia Hub, Board Member of MIT Sloan Southeast Asia Office Advisory Board, and a Visiting Professor in Practise of London School of Economics.

Mr. Ting is an Eisenhower Fellow and an Honorable Fellow of Taiwan’s R.O.C. Military Academy. Mr. Ting has an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Management Science from National Chi Nan University and is also the Chi Nan University’s Honorary Alumni.

Previously, Mr. Ting served as Vice President of Morgan Stanley in the UK, a Director of Taiwan’s First Commercial Bank and First Financial Holdings, and a Director of Mega Financial Holdings as a representative of Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance. Mr. Ting served as Vice Chairman, Director, and Supervisor of World Vision Taiwan. Mr. Ting was a Professor of Practice of the National Normal University of Taiwan and the President of MIT Alumni Association of Taiwan.

Mr. Ting has been awarded the highest honor of Taiwan’s Ministry of Justice, the Justice Professional Medal 1st Class; a Ministry of Defense Honorary Memorial Insignia; a Certificate of Merit from National Academy of Civil Service; a Certificate of Gratitude from Ministry of Interior National Fire Agency; a Certificate of Merit from Hanoi Stock Exchange; a Certificate of Gratitude from Vietnam State Securities Commission SRTC, a Certificate of Merit from People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; and a Certificate of Merit from Minister of Justice of Vietnam.
