Prior to starting the MPhil/ PhD programme in Economic Geography, Erik was a student of the department having completed a BSc in Economic Geography and an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance. Previously he worked with the Stockholm School of Economics as a research assistant at the Institute for Economic and Business History, as well as an analyst at two small cap private equity funds.
Erik’s primary research interests surround Urban Economics, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Economics. Throughout his research he aims to study the dynamics of the residential housing market through both an economic and financial lens using quasi-experimental methods.
