I am a PhD student in Environmental Economics at the London School of Economics' Department of Geography & Environment, supervised by Professor Misato Sato and Professor Aurelien Saussay. My research explores the intersection of environmental policy and labor markets, with a particular focus on green jobs and skills development in both developing and developed economies.
My doctoral research investigates how labor markets adapt to environmental policies and climate change, with special attention to the emerging landscape of green employment opportunities. I am particularly interested in understanding how workforce skills evolve to meet the demands of a low-carbon economy, especially in South Asia and other developing regions.
Prior to my PhD, I worked at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and at the World Bank, where I contributed to projects analyzing environmental labor markets and green workforce development. This experience has deeply informed my current research approach, allowing me to bridge theoretical frameworks with practical policy applications. I continue to collaborate with international organizations on projects related to green jobs identification, skills gap analysis, and labor market transitions in the context of climate change.
