On September 17, 2015, Madam Xu Lin, Director General of Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), visited the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL). Madam Xu was warmly welcomed to the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) by Pro-Director Prof Paul Kelly.
Upon her arrival Madam Xu Lin first visited the newly renovated CIBL offices, where CIBL UK Director Nick Byrne and Chinese Director Professor Luo Lisheng briefed her on CIBL’s recent developments. Madam Xu expressed her satisfaction about CIBL’s new working environment and her high regard for CIBL’s achievements.
After visiting the CIBL offices Madam Xu, Prof. Kelly and various LSE academics held a meeting. Madam Xu first expressed her great appreciation and thanks to LSE for its continuing support and guidance to CIBL. Furthermore she expressed her desire to further enhance Hanban’s cooperation with the LSE. In return, Pro-director Prof. Kelly welcomed Madam Xu’s visit to LSE and thanked Hanban for its consistent support to CIBL while expressing a desire for the cooperation with Hanban to continue to develop in a stable and in-depth way.
2015年9月17日国家汉办许琳主任访问了伦敦商务孔子学院。LSE副校长Paul Kelly教授代表学校热情地接待了许琳主任。许主任首先参观了新装修后独具中国特色的LSE孔子学院，随后CIBL英方院长Nick Byrne 和中方院长罗立胜教授向许主任汇报了孔院的近期工作。许琳主任对良好的办公环境以及CIBL所开展的工作给予了很高的评价。
在同Kelly副校长会谈中，许主任代表国家汉办感谢LSE对孔院工作的支持和指导，同时希望与LSE有进一步的合作。Kelly副校长代表LSE欢迎许主任的来访，感谢汉办对CIBL的一贯支持，并表示希望与汉办的合作能够更加稳定和深入。
