HSK Exam Preparation Courses 

Course summary

CIBL provides online intensive HSK Preparation courses via Zoom during the week. These courses focus mainly on talking through authentic HSK exam papers, allowing students to well prepare for the exam in a short period of time. The courses are in intensive format, and last for 20 hours in total. 

The courses provide authentic HSK papers to work on and focus on providing essential exams skills and grammar knowledge. With a maximum of 8 students per class you will have plenty of opportunities to focus, develop language and exam skills to achieve your desired HSK level.

Placement

For all non-beginners, a language assessment will be arranged after payment to ensure you are placed at the correct level. You can also indicate the HSK level you want to study in your application for our reference, but the final course level is decided by the programme upon mutual agreement. 

Note

Applicants are NOT required to demonstrate they have full eligibility to study and live in the UK. It is an online course, so anyone who is interested in the HSK course can apply. 

Course levels 

HSK 1 course

Pre-requisite

Students should know basic Pinyin and some basic words, and be keen to further improve their Chinese proficiency level.

Learning content

  1. 150 high-frequency words
  2. HSK 1 Grammar patterns
  3. Exam mock papers

Learning output

Test takers who have passed the HSK-1 can understand and use some very simple Chinese words and sentences to meet specific communication needs and have the ability to learn Chinese further.

 

HSK 2 course

Pre-requisite

Students should have passed HSK Level 1; or have the equivalent learning experience, and be keen to further improve their Chinese proficiency level.

Learning content

  1. 150 high-frequency words
  2. HSK 2 Grammar patterns
  3. Exam mock papers

Learning output

Test takers who have passed the HSK-2 can communicate with Chinese native speakers simply and directly on familiar daily topics in Chinese, and can achieve a superior level of fundamental Chinese language.

 

HSK 3 course

Pre-requisite

Students should have passed HSK Level 2; or have the equivalent learning experience, and be keen to further improve their Chinese proficiency level.

Learning content

  1. 300 high-frequency words
  2. HSK 3 Grammar patterns
  3. Exam mock papers 

Learning output

Test takers who are able to pass the HSK 3 can communicate in Chinese at a basic level in their daily, academic and professional lives. They can manage most communication in Chinese when travelling in China. 

 

HSK 4 course

Pre-requisite

Students should have passed HSK Level 3; or have the equivalent learning experience, and be keen to further improve their Chinese proficiency level.

Learning content

  1. 600 high-frequency words
  2. HSK 4 Grammar patterns
  3. Exam mock papers

Learning output

Test takers who have passed the HSK-4 can discuss a wider range of topics in Chinese and communicate fluently with native speakers of Chinese. When candidates apply for admission to Chinese universities, HSK-4 is required for undergraduate majors in science, engineering, agronomy, and medicine.

 

HSK 5 course

Pre-requisite

Students should have passed HSK Level 4; or have the equivalent learning experience, and be keen to further improve their Chinese proficiency level.

Learning content

  1. 1300 high-frequency words
  2. HSK 5 Grammar patterns
  3. Exam mock papers

Learning output

Test takers who have passed the HSK-5 can read Chinese newspapers and magazines, enjoy Chinese film and television programs, and conduct more complete speeches in Chinese. When they apply to enter Chinese universities, HSK-5 is required for majors in Chinese literature, history, philosophy, and Chinese medicine and enables candidates to have the opportunity to receive scholarships.

 

HSK 6 course

Pre-requisite

Students should have passed HSK Level 5; or have the equivalent learning experience, and be keen to further improve their Chinese proficiency level.

Learning content

  1. 2500 high-frequency words
  2. HSK 6 Grammar patterns
  3. Exam mock papers

Learning output

Test takers who have passed the HSK-5 can easily understand what they hear and read in Chinese and express their opinions fluently in Chinese, either in oral or written form. With HSK-6, candidates can apply for the best universities in China and have great opportunities to get scholarships.

Withdrawal and Refund

We strongly advise you to ensure that you will be able to attend the whole course before enrolling. CIBL will not be accountable for any responsibility regarding unforeseen changes in students’ circumstances that may prevent their attendance for all or part of the course, including changes to work patterns or care obligations.

NO refunds can be given for missed classes, except where classes are cancelled by CIBL. All cancellations of enrolment and requests for refunds must be received in writing by CIBL. In such cases, a refund is ONLY be given if the request is received before the enrollment deadline minus a £30 administration fee.
