Dr Taschini is an expert in environmental and resource economics, energy economics, and the application of economics to public policy issues. He is an Associate Professorial Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics where he leads the Finance, Investment and Insurance research programme.
His current research investigates issues at the intersection between environmental economics, industrial organization and financial economics. More specifically, he is studying the theory and practice of market based instruments to control pollution. Also, he is investigating how to adequately integrate the economics of climate change into capital markets, investment decisions and core business practices.
