Student forum
At the start of the year you will be asked by your department if you would like to represent your programme on the Student Voice. The Student Voice is important because it provides feedback on your programme and also a space to discuss issues which affect the student community. The Student Voice meets once a term and is chaired by the Programme Director.
Academic Student Representatives
Academic Student Representatives ‘Student Reps’ are students whose represent the opinions and concerns of other students to the Department and in the Student Feedback forum [link https://www.lsesu.com/democracy/sslc-reps/ (Student Voice), usually relating to academic or educational topics, but can be other issues too.
The overall aim is to improve the learning experience for current and future students.
Issues to take to your Student Rep
- Courses: content and curriculum; timetabling and cancelled lectures; coursework and assessment deadlines; reading lists; workloads.
- Teaching methods and resources
- Exams and revision sessions
- Resources: for studying, library, computing and other facilities; limited access to computers/rooms.
- Quality assurance
