Meet our speakers and chair
Nava Ashraf is Professor of Economics at LSE. She is a leading researcher who uses rigorous field experiments in collaboration with large organizations to evaluate the impact of policies, practices, and incentives in behavioural, development, labour, and organisational economics. She is also the co-director of the psychology and economics program at STICERD and the founding director of the Altruistic Capital Lab, which aims to generate global evidence based on understanding what works and why.
Deborah Perry Piscione is a renowned futurist and expert in business strategy and growth, specializing in the transformation of work and organizations in the era of AI and web3 technologies. As the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Work3 Institute, she leads cutting-edge research and advisory services on the convergence of AI, blockchain, and emerging technologies, providing strategic insights on their profound impact on business models, organizational structures, and the future of work. Her latest book, Employment is Dead! How Disruptive Technologies are Revolutionizing the Way We Work (Harvard Business Review Press, January 28, 2025), explores the transformative potential of AI and distributed ledger technologies on traditional employment models and organizational hierarchies.
Daniel Susskind is a writer and economist. He explores the impact of technology, and particularly AI, on work and society. He is Research Professor in Economics at King’s College London, a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Ethics in AI at Oxford University, and an associate member of the Economics Department at Oxford University. His new book, Growth: A Reckoning (2024), was chosen by President Obama as one of his ‘Favourite Books of 2024’ and was a runner-up for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year 2024. He is also the author of A World Without Work (2020), described by The New York Times as "required reading for any potential presidential candidate thinking about the economy of the future” and a runner-up for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year 2020, and co-author of the best-selling book, The Future of the Professions (2015).
