Meet our speakers and chair
CEO of AI Caramba, Matt Blakemore is deeply involved in standards setting and anchored in AI governance. He is an award-winning entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in propelling products from ideation to commercialisation. He is a member and active contributor to the British and International Standards Organisation AI committees, showing his commitment to responsible and ethical AI. He played a key role as a sub-editor within a team of four to develop the global AI Data Lifecycle Standard ISO/IEC 8183.
Richard Nesbitt is Adjunct Professor of the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Richard is now based in London where he is Chair of The Inclusion Initiative Advisory Board. Richard was CEO of the Global Risk Institute in Financial Services until 2019. Prior to that he was COO of CIBC until September 2014. From 2004 to 2008 Richard was Chief Executive Officer of TSX Group, a public company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, having joined TSX as President of TSX Markets in 2001.
Carolyn Scott helps businesses grow, innovate and improve. She has extensive experience across both strategy and marketing, most recently as Director of B2B Marketing at Google, leading marketing for a $90B business across 36 countries. Carolyn's thought leadership on technology has consistently won awards and broken engagement records, and has been featured in the global edition of The Economist. Carolyn is also an ex-management consultant, a one-time tech startup founder, an occasional advisor, and Fellow at the Royal Society for Arts. She enjoys spotting new market opportunities, solving hard problems, and building high-performing teams. Carolyn is passionate about bringing AI to the world in the right way to solve big problems for marketers, for businesses and for society.
Reshma Shaikh is an AI expert with extensive experience in scaling, transformation and leveraging emerging technologies. She served as the VP of Strategy and Operations at Springer Nature, leading the successful industrialisation of AI/ML and earning recognition for ethical and safe practices. She championed the use of emerging technologies like Web3 to drive growth and explore new markets. As the first Chief of Staff to the COO, she executed strategic initiatives and optimising business operations.
Noa Srebrnik is the CEO and co-founder of Citrusx. She is utilizing her experience to create innovative AI solutions that will transform the industry. Noa is a seasoned individual with a background in philosophy, politics, and economics. Noa has over seven years of professional experience in finance from working at a central bank and government. During her time at the government, she managed a $20B yearly budget, developed the government's intellectual property structure, and served as an investment committee member for the government's venture capital funds.
Grace Lordan (@profgracelordan) is the author of Think Big, the Director of The Inclusion Initiative and an Associate Professor at the LSE. Grace is an economist, and is an expert on the determinants of individual success, labour markets and skills, the future of work and creating inclusive leaders. Her research is focused on measuring the benefits of inclusion within and across firms, as well as designing interventions that level the playing field for under-represented talent within firms. advisory board.
In addition to being Managing Director in Protiviti’s Technology & Digital consulting practice, Belton Flournoy (@AussieBelton) is supporting The Inclusion Initiative (TII) at LSE as an Advisory Board Member. Belton is founder of Protiviti UK's LGBT+ group, which won best LGBT+ network in 2019 by the Inclusive Tech Alliance and in 2022 he also won British LGBT+ Awards: Diversity Hero, Top 10 Business Leaders of the Year: CIO Views and British Diversity Awards: Hero of the year. Belton was also the founder of Pride in the City for Pride in London, where he ran a Mayor backed initiative dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusivity across London businesses.
