Taster Courses

 Interested in undergraduate study?

The University of London Taster Course programme provides Year 12 students with a taste of what life at a university in London is like. Taster courses are free to attend and you can choose from over 100 courses in a variety of subject areas at numerous participating universities.

LSE taster courses give Year 12 students in the UK the opportunity to learn more about some of the programmes available at LSE. Participating students will attend two taster sessions in their chosen subject led by LSE academics and meet current LSE students.

In 2024, LSE ran in-person taster courses on the LSE campus in a selection of subject areas:

  • Studying History
  • Studying Economic History
  • Studying Anthropology
  • BSc Language, Culture and Society
  • Studying Social Policy

Information about taster courses running in 2025 will be available on this page from January 2025.

Eligible students can apply for funding towards the cost of travel to LSE through the LSE Travel Fund.
