As an attendee, you will be invited to join the following:
Tuesday 25 June
Students are invited to participate in a day of online sessions, with LSE faculty which will bring together students from Bocconi University (Italy), Central European University (Austria), IE University (Spain), SNSPA (Romania), Sciences Po (France), SGH Warsaw School of Economics (Poland), Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and five students from Ukrainian universities.
Wednesday 26 June
Students are invited to join the Widening Participation team and current LSE Undergraduate students for a Widening Participation led workshop and a dinner before joining the CIVICA students for an in-person evening panel discussion and collaborative workshop.
Secondary School/College participants are invited to attend on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 June.
The events on Tuesday 25 June will take place online via Zoom from 9:30am – 2:15pm
The events on Wednesday 26 June will take place on LSE's campus from 2:45pm – 7:00pm
Applicants must be able to attend all sessions on both days.

The CIVICA European Week events for Year 12/13 students are free to attend. Travel reimbursements are available to cover the costs to and from the LSE on Wednesday 26 June.
This opportunity is open to selected Year 12 or 13 London Secondary School or College students.
Applicants should:

Have an interest in exploring the topic of migration in Europe

Have an interest in politics/ social policy
-
Attend a state-funded, non fee-paying school/college
-
Be currently in Year 12 or Year 13 (England and Wales)
-
Live within a reasonable commuting distance (~60 minutes) from LSE
- Be available for the duration of the event
Applications for CIVICA European Week for Year 12 have now closed due to unprecedented demand.

The Widening Participation team will then shortlist applications and communicate selection decisions by 5pm on Monday 27 May 2024 via email.
The LSE Widening Participation team will allocate event invitations based on applicants' eligibility and event demand.

All staff and students involved in the sessions receive appropriate training before the event. Staff or students working directly and regularly with young people receive specific training on working with children, in line with our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy. They also undergo an appropriate level Disclosure and Barring Service check.
