LSE is proud to partner with the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to offer the LSE-CSC Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship supports outstanding students from China in pursuing their research degree at LSE.
Funding Details
LSE is pleased to offer up to eight scholarships each academic year. These scholarships are tenable for up to four years and recipients must be enrolled in a full time study mode.
The LSE-CSC Scholarship covers:
- Full tuition fees
- An annual stipend of £1,350 per month
- Overseas health insurance
- A round-trip economy class airfare between China and the UK
- Reimbursement of a one-time visa application fee
There is no separate application for any of these studentships. You will be considered automatically based on your application for admission.
- Step one: Candidates need to have submitted a complete application for admission to the Graduate Admissions Office before the application deadline of Wednesday 15 January 2025 23:59 UK time. Some departments will have an earlier deadline. Refer to the individual programme page for the relevant deadline information Find your graduate programme.
- Step two: By Friday 07 March 2025, the Financial Support Office will notify nominated candidates of their nomination for the LSE-CSC Scholarship to the China Scholarship Council for their decision.
- Step three: Nominated candidates must submit a separate application to the CSC. Application guidance is on the CSC official website: http://www.csc.edu.cn The CSC application deadline is 31 March 2025.
- Step four: CSC will evaluate the nominated candidates according to CSC requirements and inform successful candidates via the CSC website.
- Step five: LSE will contact successful candidates separately in early July 2025 to confirm the decision.
