COLFUTURO/LSE Graduate Scholarship Programme

Each year LSE part-funds a number of awards in conjunction with COLFUTURO for Colombian citizens to study one year taught master's, or three year PhD programmes.

Eligibility

This scholarship provides funding for Colombian citizens to study a one-year taught master's programme or three-year PhD programme.

Scholarship amount

COLFUTURO offers up to $50,000 as a loan to cover tuition fees and living costs while studying. Providing certain conditions are met, up to 80% of the loaned amount can be converted into a non-repayable scholarship.

LSE offers a 20% contribution to the tuition fee for all COLFUTURO beneficiaries.

Additionally, two scholarships, covering the full cost of tuition fees, will be awarded to students from the COLFUTURO Talent Seeding Programme.

How to apply

Applications are made directly to COLFUTURO, under the Programa de Credito-Beca.

While you do not need to have an offer to study at LSE before applying, having an offer to study at LSE is likely to increase your chances of being awarded a Scholarship.

Nominations are typically announced in May and those selected to receive COLFUTURO funding have up to two years within which to use their award.

The list of nominated students is shared directly with LSE by COLFUTURO. The Financial Support Office will automatically process nominations and apply fee contributions to nominated offer holders' fee invoices. Please note that this process can take a few weeks after nominations have been released.

Offer holders do not need to contact the Financial Support Office seperately to have their award applied.
