LSE is delighted to announce the Alumni and Friends of the Department of Mathematics at LSE PhD Scholarship

 

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration for this award, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Hold an offer for an MPhil/PhD programme within the Department of Mathematics.
  • Have Home fee status with a preference for this to be awarded to someone from an under-served community.
  • Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on Financial Mathematics first, and more widely to those with a research focus on Mathematics.

Selection for this scholarship is based on outstanding academic merit and research potential. One new award will be available for 2025/26.

Scholarship amount

The Alumni and Friends of the Department of Mathematics at LSE PhD Scholarship is tenable for four years and will cover full tuition fees at the Home fee rate and provide an annual stipend in line with UKRI rates, which will be at least £21,237   .
