Professor Pauline Barrieu, Head of Department

A warm welcome to all our BSc offer holders! We look forward to you joining us here at LSE and in the Department of Statistics very soon so you can start your exciting journey and become #PartofLSE!

Bookmark this page to get the latest information on times and locations for many of the Department's BSc Welcome events. In addition to School-wide welcome activities, the Department has scheduled programme-specific events during Welcome Week (23-27 September 2024), as well as before and after that week, depending on your programme. All events will take place on campus unless otherwise noted. Events listed below will also available on the Student Hub App in due course.

Welcome presentations

It is compulsory for you to watch your Welcome Presentation

What is the Welcome Presentation? Your Welcome Presentation is your opportunity to learn about what it means to be part of the LSE community and our opportunity to welcome you to it. Your Welcome Presentation will offer you an introduction to LSE from key members of staff. It will include information about the many opportunities and support available to you while you study. It is where you’ll find out what you can expect during your time here, how we can help you to succeed in your studies, learn about our values, and discover how we can support your wellbeing.

You can sign up to watch the presentation once you have completed online pre-enrolment. You only need to attend one session

• 12 noon -1pm (BST), Tuesday 17 September - sign up here!
• 2-3pm (BST), Wednesday 18 September - sign up here!

You should aim to watch it live on the release date, however if you miss the Welcome Presentation, you can watch the recording online. Keep an eye on welcome.lse.ac.uk and LSE social media channels for further information.
