About me

Nicholas has been a Guest Lecturer in the Department of Statistics since 2008. He is the current lecturer of ST425 (Statistical Inference: Principles, Methods and Applications). In previous years, he has lectured ST102 (Elementary Statistical Theory), ST205 (Sample Surveys and Experiments) and ST211 (Applied Regression). He has also taken classes in a number of courses in the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics. Furthermore, he lectures on Optimisation and Computational Statistics at Birkbeck.

Nicholas obtained his first degree in Mathematics at Oxford more years ago than he cares to say. He also has an MSc in Biometry from Reading and a PhD from Aberystwyth. He has carried out research and consultancy in several areas. Recently, he has co-authored a number of articles in Medical Statistics.
