Term Dates
You can find LSE's term dates here. LSE has three terms: Autumn term, Winter term and Spring term. We expect students to arrive in time for Welcome (the week before the Autumn term starts) in order to attend enrolment and key department events. All students are expected to attend all teaching and LSE's regulations state that attendance is mandatory
LSE Calendar
The Calendar is published on the LSE website for use by LSE staff and students. Its purpose is to gather together into a single resource regulations relating to students and their study. It is essential you have reviewed the regulations relating to students and your studies when enrolling at LSE - you can access the Calendar here.
Programme Regulations
Each programme has its own set of programme regulations, which govern which courses students on that programme are allowed to take. Some courses will be compulsory, and some will be optional or offer a selection to choose from. You should adhere to your programme regulations, and use as a guide to plan which courses you'll be selecting in your degree. You should follow the programme regulations set in your year of entry. For example, if you are studying with us in the 2024-25 academic year, you will follow the 2024 programme regulations. The 2024 programme regulations will be published in August 2024 and linked here.
Available Courses
We offer an extensive list of courses, and publish their availability in August for the next academic year. You can find information here regarding Sociology courses and their availability.
