Research topic:
Exploring the lives of immigrants in Southeast Europe– Integration outcomes in the EU member states and in the EU candidate countries
Laura is originally from Finland, but she has lived in Germany, Turkey and Ireland during her studies and professional experiences, prior to starting her PhD studies in LSE. She holds B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Jyväskylä and M.A. in Development Economics & International Studies from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. After her master studies, she worked in both EU and UN organizations with the focus on social policy research and migration statistics.
Research interests:
Laura’s main research interests are immigrant wellbeing and integration policies.
