Linchuan is a PhD candidate in Economics, studying development economics, environment economics and political economy. He obtained MRes in Economics (with Distinction) and MSc in Economics (in Distinction), both from the LSE. He did his undergraduate degree in English literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University in China and his current work examines the dynamics of biodiversity and inequality in Lake Victoria, river management in China, adoption of electric vehicles in India, and the aggregate and distributional impact of financial inclusion.
