In May our Master of Public Policy (MPP) students came together to present on their projects undertaken with leading external organisations.
The presentations provided an opportunity for students to crystalise their research into ‘so what’ policy takeaways and present and take questions from an audience of their peers, faculty and professional assessors.
Eighteen groups took to the stage to present their projects in LSE’s Old Theatre, a venue which has previously hosted Presidents, Prime Ministers and the world’s leading policy thinkers.
Supported by SPP academics, our students had spent the Winter Term working intensively with external organisations such as the World Bank, leading strategy consultancies and government agencies to tackle challenges including the regulation of ransomware in the UK; providing digital education in Africa; tackling gender-based violence in Fiji and promoting global investment in low carbon technologies.
We were honoured to be joined by Su-Lin Garbett-Shiels, the Head of Crisis Response in the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and Louise Revell, senior associate from the management consulting firm Oliver Wyman. They assisted with assessment and shared rich and useful feedback.
