Our remit involves connecting current students with alumni, developing students’ career potential, engaging the student body in the local community, coordinating social activities and organising a formal Ball at the end of the Winter term.
Our goal is to help all SPP students make the most of their time at the LSE and form meaningful connections with their fellow classmates, SPP faculty and staff, and the broader LSE community.
Meet the APPS Executive Committee 2024-25
Emma Deleplaire-Ripoche is an MPA student from France, currently pursuing her degree at the London School of Economics. She completed her Bachelor of International Relations at King’s College London, where she specialised in international economics, and security/war studies.
Throughout her academic journey, Emma has gained substantial experience in the field of ESG and sustainable finance, tracking international climate policies and optimizing GHG emissions reporting. She also held roles in market analysis and compliance, further honing her expertise in global markets and risk management.
As she steps into her role as the MPA President, Emma envisions a community that thrives on inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation. She is committed to ensuring that every voice is heard and that the student body is united through shared goals and meaningful interactions.
Camelia Abdelgelil is a second-year MPA in Data Science for Public Policy student from Egypt. Previously she was representative of the 2023/24 MPA-DSPP, and is currently the Vice President of APPS.
Before joining LSE, Camelia worked at the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime, where she conducted research, data analysis and statistical modeling on various crime-related topics, as well as statistical capacity building across the globe. She firmly believes that data is a powerful tool shaping the future of policymaking.
Camelia holds two bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich.
Harsh Bhatt is currently a second-year Master of Public Administration (MPA) candidate at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Harsh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Delhi, where he played a key role in student leadership, serving as President of the Photography Society and Head of Design for the College magazine.
Professionally, Harsh has worked across diverse industries, including finance, consulting, and industrial manufacturing. As a co-founder and Managing Partner at MWI, he led the firm's financial strategy, successfully scaling operations and driving business growth. His consulting experience spans digital health, ESG analysis, Education, Gender, and SaaS, reflecting a strong interest in technology-driven solutions and sustainable development.
With a solid foundation in Computer Science, Policy analysis, corporate finance, Economics, and Sustainable finance and a deep commitment to leveraging his skills and experience, Harsh is focused on making a meaningful impact at the intersection of finance, technology, and policy.
As the Treasurer of APPS, his vision is to amplify student representation, ensuring every voice is heard and valued. Harsh aims to enhance the student experience by advocating for meaningful engagement and fostering a supportive community where ideas can flourish and shape the future of public policy.
