Aine is the Head of Growth at Intrigue Media (providing expert, irreverent analysis from the intersection of geopolitics, business, and tech).
Having completed my undergraduate degree in International Relations and Economics, I went on to work in Financial Services Consulting. I quickly realized it was not quite the right fit for me, as my interest had always been in the experience and rights of the public. After some research into various Masters programs, I was confident that the LSE MPA degree was the right place for me.
I knew that I would find other likeminded people at LSE, as well as people who would broaden my horizons with stories of their own personal experiences and interests - I was happily proved right! During my time at LSE, I had the privilege of taking courses with the Marshall Institute. The courses focused on how to bridge public and private industries for social good. These classes equipped me to set out on my own adventure with Intrigue Media as their Head of Growth.
Our mission at Intrigue Media is to make geopolitics more accessible, digestible, and enjoyable. For too long, the discussion of international relations has been left to academics or negotiators behind closed doors. Our vision is to become the one stop shop for the next generation to understand their world. We believe we’re solving a big problem: bringing geopolitics international affairs back down to earth and arming future leaders with the knowledge they need to create global impact.
My time at LSE reinforced my drive to be connected across borders, cultures, and beliefs. Despite being socially distanced by the never-ending pandemic, my peers and I created friendships and working relationships that are invaluable. Working with Intrigue Media has given me the opportunity to bring that to life at scale: opening people’s worlds by helping them understand it.
I’d love to talk more with anyone who is interested - please feel free to reach out to me!
