LSE100 is a half unit taken by all students, running across Autumn and Winter Terms in the first year. The course provides one of the marks that is eligible to be included in the calculation of the First Year Average for purposes of classification.

This outside paper should be both of an advanced nature and coherent with the student's other choice of papers. Permission to take such a paper should first be obtained from the Departmental Tutor who must countersign the Additional Permission Form. Any subsequent revision to the student's choice of papers must also be countersigned by the Departmental Tutor.

A :

Before taking FM321 and/or FM322 you must have previously taken FM214 and FM215. Students who have not taken FM214 and FM215, but have an excellent quantitative background, may be allowed to take this course at the discretion of the course leader.

A maximum of one unit of Finance courses may be chosen for Papers 9, 10 & 11; students wishing to choose more than one unit can do so as Paper 12.

Accreditation:
EC1A1 and EC1B1 combined contribute towards certificate level exemptions from professional Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) examinations. They also contribute to the CB2 Exemption of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
