This course is available on the MRes/PhD in Economics and MRes/PhD in Economics and Management. This course is not available as an outside option.

Course content

Surveys the most recent development in macroeconomics, with an emphasis on technical detail and directions for further research opened up by the material. The goal is to put the students on the research path by bringing them to the research frontier.

This course is delivered through lectures totalling a minimum of 60 hours across Autumn Term and Winter Term. Attendance is compulsory.

Students will discuss papers in lectures.

Readings will be mainly from journal articles; a list will be supplied at the start of term.
