In exceptional circumstances a student may substitute a different outside paper for one of the papers 8, 11 and 12. This outside paper would normally be of an advanced nature and be coherent with the student's other choice of papers. Permission to take such a paper should first be obtained from the student's academic adviser and then confirmed by the Departmental Tutor.
* Plus an appropriate half-unit course. Permission to take such a paper should first be obtained from the student's tutor and then confirmed by the Departmental Tutor, who must countersign the 'Selection of Papers for Next Session' form and any subsequent course change form.
