These Exam Sub-Board 'local rules' apply to the following programmes:

MSc Law, Anthropology and Society
MSc Religion in the Contemporary World

MSc Social Anthropology (Research)
MSc Social Anthropology (Learning and Cognition) (formerly MSc Psychological Anthropology and MSc Anthropology of Learning and Cognition)

Distinction/Merit borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.2):
For a Distinction to be awarded, students much achieve a minimum of 2.0 units at Distinction (marks of 70 or above) and 2.0 units at Merit (marks of 65 or above).

Merit/Pass borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.4):
For a Merit to be awarded, students must achieve a minimum of 1.0 unit at Distinction (a mark of 70 or above), 1.0 at Merit (a mark of 65 or above) and 2.0 units at Pass (marks of 55 or above).
