This course is available with permission as an outside option to students on other programmes where regulations permit and to General Course students.

The 1948 Arab-Israeli War; Israeli foreign and defence policy; the 1956 Suez-Sinai Campaign; the 1967 Six-Day War; regime change in Egypt and Syria in 1970; 1970/71 Black September; the 1973 Yom Kippur War; the 1975 Lebanese civil war; the ascendance of the Likud; the Camp David Accords 1979; the invasion of the Lebanon 1982; Palestinian resistance; the 1987 Intifada; the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference; the 1993 Oslo Accords; the 1994 Jordanian-Israeli Peace Treaty; the 2000 al-Aqsa intifada; and peace efforts since 2000.
