Scheme for the Award of a Taught Masters Degree for students entering from 2008/09: Sub-Board 'local rules'
Please read the following local rules in conjunction with the relevant scheme paragraph in the Classification Scheme for this programme:
These Exam Sub-Board 'local rules' apply to the following programmes: MSc Operational Research (withdrawn) MSc Decision Sciences (withdrawn) |

Course critical to assessment: A degree cannot be awarded unless OR404 Applied Operational Research and OR418 Applied Decision Sciences have been passed and the mark in the course must be Merit or above for an overall classification of Distinction to be awarded. |

Distinction/Merit borderline (scheme paragraph 3.3.2): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will be determined according to an aggregate formula: 270 for 4 units (540 for 8 half units) and subject to the critical course mark being Merit or above for an overall classification of Distinction. |

Merit/Pass borderline (scheme paragraph 3.3.4): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will be determined according to an aggregate formula of 240 for 4 units (480 for 8 half units). |
