Dr Laura Giurge is an award-winning organisational scholar and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at LSE. She is also a research affiliate at the Wellbeing Research Center (University of Oxford) and the Research Lead at a Behavioural Science Consultancy in London.
Dr Giurge holds a PhD in Management from Erasmus University’s Rotterdam School of Management and has been a postdoctoral research fellow at Cornell University and London Business School. In 2019 and 2020 she was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School.
Dr Giurge’s research explores how leaders and employees can balance productivity with well-being as well as bias and inequality. Her findings have been published in top international academic journals, including the Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings, Organisational Behaviour and Human Decision Processes, Nature Human Behaviour, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Leadership Quarterly.
Dr Giurge has also written about her findings in leading media outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Harvard Business Review. Her research is regularly featured in the news, including in The Economist, New York Times, and Financial Times.
