We’re excited to welcome you to the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method! Monday 23 September 2024, marks the beginning of the Welcome Week at LSE – and our Department. During this week, you’ll get the chance to meet the faculty members, our service staff and get to know one another. It’s a great opportunity to get a taste of life at LSE before the serious (philosophical) work begins.

To help you getting started, we’ve produced introductory videos for each of our courses,. The videos will help you find out about your teachers and the course content which will then help you make the right choices for your course selection.

The Welcome Week offers many different events. To help you stay on top of everything that is happening, we compiled the calendar below. The overview contains the timetable for all new philosophy students, both undergraduate and master’s. All events marked with an asterisk (*) are organised centrally by the School, you can find further details about these on the main LSE Welcome pages.

Important: Make sure to download the Student Hub app to view your Welcome calendar! It’s crucial that you download the app to keep informed about potential changes and updates of events.

Let us know if you have any questions and we’ll look forward to meeting you.
