Conjectures & Refutations Seminar by Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin: ‘Quantum Mechanics and Avant-Garde Music. Shadows of the Void’

24 October, 12:00 pm1:30 pm

Abstract: “The talk discusses metaphorical correlations between quantum mechanics and avant-garde music. In addition to presenting views on interpretations of quantum mechanics, history and philosophy of the twentieth century physics, focusing on Einstein’s relativity, Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, Pauli exclusion principle, superposition, twin paradox, non-locality, quantum entanglement and other phenomena of quantum physics, the presentation will also reveal unique archival material about the role that music played in life of Werner Heisenberg and other legendary scientists.”

Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin is a Pianist and Composer. In 2019 Abdyssagin became the youngest PhD student of Academy of St. Cecilia in Rome (majoring in composition) and later got his PhDs from Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan and Conservatorio Cesare Pollini in Padua (majoring in piano).
