We are pleased to announce that Thomas Rowe will be joining our Department in January 2025 as LSE Fellow.
Thomas Rowe is currently a lecturer King’s College London. He earned his PhD from the London School of Economics with a thesis on the ethics of risk and uncertainty. Before this, he studied PPE at the University of Manchester and received an MA in political theory at the University of Sheffield.
Thomas Rowe works in the areas of moral and political philosophy, and is especially interested in issues surrounding risk and uncertainty. His current research is on questions to do with fair allocation of scarce resources as well as the ethics of imposing risk of harm.
The Department regularly appoints LSE Fellows who will contribute to the intellectual life of the Department and the School by delivering excellent teaching at both undergraduate and master’s level, with teaching on more advanced courses being research-led. The post also permits substantial time for research, and the post-holders will be expected to contribute to the research culture and intellectual life of the department in their areas of specialisation.
