LSE Philosophy Professor and animal sentience expert Jonathan Birch just published a new article on animal welfare. The article has been published on the website of the Fabian Society.

In his opinion piece, Jonathan Birch argues that a commitment to animal welfare is one of the strongest signs politicians can give that they are on the public’s side: ‘The truth is that animal welfare is a key part of our identity as a country: we respect animals and we want to move forwards on animal welfare, not backwards.
