We are pleased to announce that Lukas Beck will be joining our Department in September 2023 as LSE Fellow.

Lukas Beck is a Philosopher of Science. He is part of the working group on Scientific Assessments, Ethics and Public Policy at the MCC and a member of the Rivet Project, where he currently focuses on developing a deliberative approach to the integration of diverse values in model-based climate economics in order to improve decision-making at the science-policy interface.

The Department regularly appoints LSE Fellows who will contribute to the intellectual life of the Department and the School by delivering excellent teaching at both undergraduate and master’s level, with teaching on more advanced courses being research-led. The post also permits substantial time for research, and the post-holders will be expected to contribute to the research culture and intellectual life of the department in their areas of specialisation.
