Several services are available at LSE to support your study skills and help you with your career development.
LSE LIFE offers workshops, one-to-one sessions and events all year round to assist you with your studies. From taking better notes during your lectures to giving presentations, from intercultural awareness to being more productive, the workshops at LSE LIFE are endless. Make sure to sign up for their newsletter to receive weekly updates about upcoming workshops. Some workshops can book up very quickly, so we recommend booking your place early!
While LSE LIFE is all about getting the best out of your programme, the LSE Careers Service will work with you on your career planning. Networking with employers, hearing from alumni and preparing you for job interviews all falls into their remit. Career Consultants are available to discuss your specific career pathway and help you to find out what you would like to do in 1-2-1 appointments. You can book appointments and sign up for events using the CareerHub, but don’t forget to check their website for lots of resources and information. They have prepared some guidance tailored to offer holders so that you can start your journey at LSE well prepared.
Another service you may be interested in is LSE Volunteering. Opportunities are plentiful all year round and you do not have to commit to regular activities but can drop in for one-off events as well.
