Minorities And Philosophy (MAP) is an advocacy group for students and academics from a background that has been traditionally underrepresented in philosophy as well as allies: disabled, ethnic minorities, first generation university students, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, women, or working class.
Our MAP Chapter at the LSE is a thriving community. We run a mentorship programme for MAP community members, a reading group, grad school application workshops, socials and more. If you would like to join the MAP community at the LSE, please contact the committee at Philosophy.Map.Committee@lse.ac.uk. As a student in the Department, you will be automatically enrolled to the MAP Moodle page once you start your programme.
MAP is an independent committee, but they work closely with the departmental EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Committee. We will introduce the EDI Committee in a later post.
