The EC has agreed to an extension to the EMTEL Network research work. The Network will be active until September, 30 2003. |
| Funding obtained for EMTEL Conference |

The Network has received additional funding from the EU to organise a final Conference. The Conference will be held in London, April 23-26 2003. The three main days of the Conference will feature Keynote speeches respecively by Professors Manuel Castells, Cees HamelinK and Robin Mansell. The Network organised a session at the IAMCR Conference in Barcelona. Four EMTEL YR presented their work on inclusion/eclsuoi and ICTs on that occasion |
| Mid-term review meeting |

The mid-term review of the Network has been fixed, in conjunction with the Seville meeting, in mid-March. Presentations given at the meeting will be available on the site. |
